how do i alter which window an  app defaults to? at the moment i have
my 2nd monitor off (dont ask), but firefox keeps wanting to open in
it, regardless of the last place i closed a firefox window (PITS*
expectation violation!)

For what ever reason. Safari has been crashing a lot on me lately.
Usually I will see the cursor turn into a spinning beach ball. The
hard disk will get very active, and Safari will quit. What is the best

It seems that Software Update on my mac has mysteriously stopped
working. Running the actual application just gives a message that
there aren't any updates available. I checked the log in System
