How can I burn a data-CD on my (MacOS 10.4.9) Powerbook G4 so that it'll be fully compatible with an old 68K Mac running MacOS 7.6.1? I burnt several CDs (with files and software) on the 68K Mac to begin with, but needed to re-organize their contents only to burn new CDs.

It will not move anything, anywhere - to a folder, to trash, to another HD, etc. I can Copy a Word and TextEdit file and can then cmd-V into another HD. I can also move any file from another HD or the Internet into this HD.

I want to transfer files from one hard disc to the other. Can I just plug them together via ethernet? Would I need a crossover cable? Haven't got one at the moment, just straight.

IN your opinion what is the best way to share files between LInux and MAC OS X? I set up SAMBA on the LInux machine and the MAC (running the very latest OSX) can copy files to the SAMBA share at lightning speeds.
