My mom's imac recently crashed and I had to replace her hard drive.  I

her data.  I had made an archive of her user account, this included all
of the documents she had created.  When I created the new account ...

I wanna know what's so great about apple computers. And yes I've been
to the website and I've heard that they don't get that many viruses
and such. I also heard that they can't be upgraded, I'm not to sure
but I think that can be a problem at some point.

What are the different types of hacks (haxies, simbl, etc.) that could
be installed on my Mac, where do they live, and how to detect if they're
active without digging through a crashlog?

Different ways of storing file version info03 Apr 2007 20:47 GMT6
Regarding OS X:  For most apps you can get info on the app and see
there is a file version.  Typically this info is stored in the

would be easier for me to set these variables on a global (ie. per-
machine, not per-user) basis. The variables aren't user variables
