I am running OS 10.2 and OS 9.2.1. I had a prefs folder in the system
9 folder go nuts and only show about a third of the files actually
there. I dragged it to the trash and dragged in a copy I had of that
folder before it when crazy. I then trashed the old corrupted prefs

Hi, I have a powerbook. I noticed that the battery is not charging but
the power-cord is plugg in on the screen it say that us calculating
and is not using the battery energy.... The battery is new so is not a
bat problem... What else can be???

So I recently found out about OpenDNS, a cool free DNS service with a
bunch of great features.  The problem is, I'm a web developer who uses
a local install of apache with virtual hosts and loopbacks defined by

When I forward emails with HTML in them to a PC using Outlook, extra
characters are introduced into the message such as ? and small boxes.
The characters seem to show up where carriage returns are and after

Recently, I have had to do multiple reboots for my Mac to start.
