I work for a company that requires Win2K or WinXP to access their intranet. I also have a copy of Win98 and a Win2K upgrade disk. Will I be able to successfully install Win2K via this path on a mac? TIA,

Someone I know has a collection of older Macs: G3 iMacs, PowerPCs, and an LC3. He's used AOL for years, and so has old email on all of them. He got the idea that he'd like to have them on his new Intel iMac. I expect this would be a royal PITA to attempt, both transferring data

A year ago I got a G4 Mini with an internal modem. According to Activity Monitor, the characteristic download speed is 5.86 kB/sec. I've never understood that. I would expect it to vary a little. If it dropped back, it would drop all the way to 3.66. That happened

I just set up a mirrored RAID array with 2 500 gig disks. Just got the dreaded flashing folder when I rebooted after installing the new version of BOINC. With a series of Disk Warrior, Disk Utility and a Safe boot, the computer is now running fine again, although I'm not at all sure

I'm new to mac. And bought a 2nd hand dual ppc 2 ghz g5 to start with mac. I like it, but yesterday immediatly after power-on the mac switched off. It smelled like burnt so I decided to open the mac. I checked the power supply and test power-up with only one cpu. tada! it

I find white too bright, plus it uses up more electricity, as a background color. Is there any way of setting a different background default color in OS X? A medium gray might be pleasant on the eyes.
