Is there any convenient way to get Spotlight to search .xhtml
files? Does it require a new .mdimporter -- in which case, has
anyone written one? I'm building up quite a library of XHTML

I start to have printing problems where I had none before.
I am printing from a MBP running Mac OS X 10.4.9, to a Xerox Phaser
7760DX (genuine Postscript Level 3, via AppleTalk/Ethernet).
I did not install any CUPS other than what came with 10.4.9.

As far as I can see, they both do the same thing. The only major
difference I have seen is that Carbon has the advantage of supporting
a number of languages whereas Cocoa only works with objective C. I
would like to experiment with writing programs using OS X GUIs and I

Someone suggested i restore the Macbook back to where i was the day i
bought it.

When using Thoth newsreader a lot of the text in my settings/prefs has
started to look very weird. It actually looks like Hebrew or some other
middle eastern font.

I want to make a kb shortcut a little more convenient. I find
Command_` and especially Command_Shift_` inconvenient. Is there a way
of replicating this shortcut with something else? Do I need a 3rd
party app or can I do it somehow in KB and Mouse, System Preferences?

I just installed Google Search for OS-X. It took something like 24
hours to index the 109 gigs on my hard drive. But it seems to find stuff
way faster than Spotlight. What do other people here think of Google
Search for OS-X?

it seems no matter what .dmg file i try to run under mac osx, i get
'checksum invalid'. is disk copy 10.1 just a sucky program? do i need
something better? i'm almost ready to go back to os9 where things got
done. i'm so far behind in my work now because of the move to osx and its
