| Transfering accounts between Macs | 01 May 2007 00:03 GMT | 2 |
What is the best way to import a full user account from a Mac to another one? I know this can be done on a brand new Mac but how to do it in the other situations? Is copying the account sufficient? Even when the former account is a G4 and the new one a Intel?

| System sounds and iTunes playback level | 30 Apr 2007 14:49 GMT | 1 |
Can the volume level of the OS (10.4.9) system alert sounds be set to a different, lower level than that of the iTunes music playback level? Or are the two inevitably linked together - as they seem to be on my G4 Quicksilver.

| Using command line CP versus SilverKeeper, or similar? | 30 Apr 2007 14:47 GMT | 4 |
I need to copy (to useable files, not into a proprietary backup scheme) about 300 gigs of files. The files are on a Novell server. There is a problem in that the folder structure sometimes gets too long, and you can't read the file.

| Why is iDisk so slow? | 29 Apr 2007 22:47 GMT | 5 |
I use my .Mac iDisk to synchronize data files between an iBook and an iMac, both running 10.3.9. I can modify a data file on one computer, and the iDisk will automatically update the file to the other platform. I find this very convenient, and I like the security of an off-site

| Logging and Caching | 29 Apr 2007 15:32 GMT | 9 |
I'm wondering about what all of this data caching/logging is for. I never use it. For instance, in Safari, there's a feature where a drop down menu displays URL's close to the one I'm typing. It's a nuisance. It appears that Safari has stored every URL I've ever used, and they
