Mac mini G-4 Startup Drive31 Mar 2007 17:52 GMT3
I am currently running my Mac mini G-4  on OS X 10.4.2.
My question is, can I use a USB 2.0 external drive as my Startup Disk,
or do I have to have a Firewire external HD to do this?
Thanks in advance.
iMac crashes31 Mar 2007 16:57 GMT6
Hello, a question about a problem which is driving me mad: could it be

10.3.9 with 384 Mb RAM) are not caused, as I thought, by a  harddisc
problem or some incompatibility, but by the DSL connexion via TV
C++ is complicated & C is bloated.31 Mar 2007 15:07 GMT6
So I'm reading books about perl, which may not be quite as powerful as
C++ but at least has more power than C & is very easy to learn from
the manuals.  I'm also buying books on C++, and books about algorithms
for C.  It isn't easy to learn it though, and I have been trying to

Just want to say Hello, New Mac user...31 Mar 2007 10:30 GMT4
I just bought a Mac Mini. Up to this point I owned a couple of old
Macs, a 6290CD and a Quadra "something". The 6290CD still runs (I
picked it up in a Goodwill back in 2000). I have it setup in my spare
room, just replaced the CMOS battery a few weeks ago, and it is rock

iTunes automatic deletion of podcast?31 Mar 2007 08:17 GMT1
Is it possible to set "automatic deletion" of a podcast after you play
it once on the iPod?  I know you can manually set a podcast to be
deleted but I want to set all podcasts to be deleted after I play them
once.

Are there any problems in running a US purchased Mac Book Pro in the UK?31 Mar 2007 07:18 GMT8
I'm over in the states next month an apart from getting an American two pin
plug for charging are there any other things I should consider?
I'm purchasing it in the States purely to save money over the UK price but
if there are any other perceived problems I may reconsider.
Kensington Wireless Desk Top Mouse died31 Mar 2007 02:26 GMT8
I have the above mouse on my MacBookPro. It has stopped working. The
red light on the mouse is on and I have changed the batteries a couple
of times. The keyboard still works.  Looking at the round receiver
thingy that goes into the USB port, the lights that shows a signal is
Apple TV - A Long, Short Review31 Mar 2007 00:07 GMT14
The display and demonstration of Apple TV (ATV) in the Apple retail
stores commences today, Friday March 23, but stores had them for sale
yesterday. It appears that I was the first to buy one from the Apple
store in the Annapolis (MD) mall yesterday. I have about *two* *hours*

Is it possible to have two or more EyeTV-250 units receiving and
recording at the same time?
This is the setup I am contemplating:

Built in iSight on MacBook Pro (Intel) - is it possible to aim the
camera independently of the screen or macbook itself? Is there some
control somewhere?  (I am imagining something like Logitech has with
their better cams - face tracking, that kind of thing).
