My wife's Mac does not have an internet connnection. Can I download Mac files on my PC, transfer them to the Mac just as they were downloaded and then using Stuffit on the Mac un-stuff them on the Mac and get Mac files that will work?

First of all--apologies for letting my Mac admin skills atrophy--was an ace back in the system 7 days.... I have an iMac G4 with a dead hard drive--won't boot. Also, I am having trouble booting from the optical drive using an OS X Tiger install DVD.

I can't get the external mic to work in Skype. In the Preference, I have already set the Audio Input to Built-in Line-in. But the other end doesn't hear my voice.

When I try to shut down (or restart) my Power Mac 6500/250 I get a system error that says " Finder error 41" and a restart button. The only way I can shut down is to pull the power. Does anyone know what I did and how I can fix it?

I wanted to install BootCamp on my MacPro (4x750 GB, 2xRAID1). I wanted to install it on the non-boot, empty disks (I did split the second RAID1, as I assumed it would not install on a RAID1). Now BootCamp tells me it will only install on the boot disk.

Subject says it all; I have a 60GB hard drive that I'd like to put together with a 20GB board. I do have the appropriate sized back plate which would fit the larger drive "innards" but wondered whether there would be some problem with the board recognizing all of the data/songs
