I've just found out that my internal microphone is no longer working

Spotlight - two odd things03 Feb 2007 17:20 GMT1
I am finally starting to see the whole point of Spotlight. I would
appreciate advice if I am doing something wrong or expecting too much.
1. If I use Spotlight and search for either "tweight" or "tWeight", no
quotes, I get no results.
Replacing kb shortcuts03 Feb 2007 16:43 GMT4
A very common keyboard shortcut is Command_+ for enlarging a font.  This
is a very awkward hand movement as reaching for the + key often results
in error.  The mouse wheel is far better for most people.  Especially
me!  I was wondering if there is any program that is designed to ...

mac vs pc03 Feb 2007 15:23 GMT36
i know people have to be tired on this topic, but lots of people who
defend windows say that windows is better because 90% of the market is
using it. Why is this? macs have been round for longer, but why have
they got a smaller market share compared to pc's......?
MAC VPN HELP TURNNING OFF MCHAPv203 Feb 2007 12:55 GMT1
Summary:  Is it possible to tell the built in apple vpn to never use
MCHAPv2? Any work around is acceptable.

showing more details in spotlight (amongst things)03 Feb 2007 09:17 GMT9
I'm using Mac Os X 10.4.8.
I'm finding spotlight distinctly lacking in the amount of information it
shows about search results. If I do a search and click 'show all
results', the resulting window show filenames only. I want to be able to
network routes table?03 Feb 2007 07:45 GMT2
I need to edit the file with network routes in MacOS X Server on Apple's XServe.
Where do I find it? I can't find it.
Mac DSL Question03 Feb 2007 06:26 GMT37
I'm looking for a little help with first, understanding DSL, and then,
applying that knowledge towards the equipment I own. I currently have
dialup service for Internet access, and like the mobility of it, but
hate the speed. I'm looking for a cost-effective way to upgrade to
Firefox mods03 Feb 2007 05:32 GMT2
Using latest Firefox 2.0 and was hoping to change the keyboard shortcuts
to ones I'm used to.  Is this possible?  Also the zoom (Command +) is
very awkward whereas Command zoom-button on the mouse would be far more
sensible since that is much more commonly used.

File Sharing Misbehavior03 Feb 2007 00:50 GMT2
Six of seven Macs on the network are well behaved. All of a sudden a
24" iMac with File Sharing and Windows Sharing enabled will permit
sharing only through the Windows (SMB) link. If I turn off Windows
Sharing I can't connect at all. Turning (Mac) File Sharing off and on
.dmg files auto mounting02 Feb 2007 23:53 GMT3
I've been switching around a lot from my PB to my MB lately. I notice on the
PB when I download a .dmg in safari. When it's done it auto mounts, puts the
.app on my desktop and then auto un-mounts.
Just happened now with http://knoxformac.com/download/ and yesterday when I
