Olympus Software10 Feb 2007 22:22 GMT1
I need someone to make me a hero to my wife. She has been using Olympus
3.2 software to download her Olympus camera to her iMac. She thinks she
inadvertently erased some of the files (or control panels or extensions)
for this software. She cannot find her original installation ...
"Postscript" Brother printer10 Feb 2007 21:43 GMT7
I recently purchased a Brother HL-5250DN printer. I use Mac OS 10.2.8.
The printer had Postscript Emulation on the box. We're a weekly
newspaper and I like to output 65 line screen halftones. Well, it
doesn't seem possible to set the line screen on this "Postscript" printer.
Several iPhoto questions10 Feb 2007 19:04 GMT1
I have several questions about iPhoto.
1) When you request prints through iPhoto it automatically goes to a
particular service.  Is this customizable or does this service have a
monopoly on all iPhoto services?
iChat, Adium, & Messenger10 Feb 2007 16:39 GMT1
My wife recently got our first iMac. Since she already had people who
shared Windows Messenger with her, she installed it only to discover
that it doesn't have the capability that the Windows version has (for
instance, it won't use her camera).
iTunes - TV downloads???10 Feb 2007 13:38 GMT3
I have downloaded episodes of LOST and DRESDEN FILES through iTunes.
Thinking I'd like to see the episode on my TV rather than watch it on my
computer I attempted to put one of the episodes on a DVD --- but it got
half way through the burn and "told" me an error occurred...
iMac: Is there that much difference in processing power?10 Feb 2007 09:32 GMT2
I'm considering buying and iMac, and there are two processor options;
2.16ghz and 2.33ghz.  As the difference in price is quite large (UK £170) I
would like to know if in real-world usage there is any major benefit from
the faster processor?  Are there any online resources that ...

In Linux, I can get lots of system stats from files in the /proc
directory. Is there an equivalent in OSX, and even more specifically,
OSX Server 10.4?

Splitting a sound file10 Feb 2007 04:10 GMT6

I've downloaded an MP3 file which I would like to copy onto CD so I can

Opening folders in dock with *single* click09 Feb 2007 23:40 GMT8
I find it awkward to keep holding down the mouse button when clicking
on a folder in the dock in order to navigate through its sub-folders.
I'd much rather be able to single-click on that folder, then have all
the sub-folders pop instantly (sort of like the Start-menu on Windows
