I synched my IPOD last night on my PC and now it seems to be
"frozen".  The display is on and says "now playing" with the battery
at full charge but it is not playing anything.
I can't seem to turn the IPOD off or get it to play.  Does anyone know

Hey everyone.. I'm glad to see I've sparked a discussion about a few
topics.
I'm learning to get along with my Mac much better, it's almost
becoming enjoyable.  But at times I feel really lost.  I'll get used

I have a large body of scientific code, not mine, which needs to be
compiled in g77. I am running OS X 10.4.8 according to "About This
Mac" on a new work computer. I've tried getting GFortran working all
night, and it chokes on the code I was given in a multitude of places

I'm hainving problems with Address Book using OS 10.4.8 on my G4. The
application quits whenever I try to add a card. Works OK on my lap
top!
Also, Safari frequently quits for no reason that I can fathom. Mail

Is there a way to get the .VOB files on a DVD that I recorded myself
into a format that iMovie or Toast 8 or anything else can then edit
and combine with some video I shot with my camera?

OS X Tiger, G4 iBook.
I have a "smartphone" (UTC Starcom 6700) with Alltel service, and data
minutes on my plan that I can use for internet connectivity.
I can't puzzle out how to connect my iBook to my phone in order to use

I see that NewerTech has iPod replacement batteries that you can install
yourself.
Has anyone tried this? How easy was it to do?
I don;t need one yet, but wanted to know about them.

iMac with OS 10.4.8
CD-R with jpgs and folders of jpgs copied from windows2000 machine
application: Preview
When I try to open jpgs not in folders with Preview it goes well.

I do a number of cmd-option-shift-3 or 4 keystrokes to copy stuff to
email and other documents.  Every so often the key stroke trick does not
work and the previously selected text or picture seems to be locked in
the clipboard.  I don't thin Mac OSX has a Clear Clipboard button.
