my macbook is no getting like 61 degrees Celsius, when all thats open is safari..... nothing else is open also on start up its taking a bit longer, about 5-7 seconds longer does anyone know how to fix it? is there like a system restore

I've bought Apple with MAC OS X (Tiger). I'd like to know if SNMP-Service is active. I have never before used MAC OX - only Windows and Linux. How can I check if snmp-service is started (and if not, how can I start it)?

So I had 30 something GB left on my Macbook, and now I have less than 700 MB. I didn't install/load anything crazy, and there is no reason that 30 GB have disappeared. Is there a way to see what was "recently" saved or something to figure out what's going on?
