When searching in a pdf document for a particular word in preview, is there a
way to change the color of the highlighted word from gray to another more
noticeable color? I find it difficult sometime to see the gray color when the

I have a home LAN that currently has 3 Windows machines and a printer
hooked up to it. We just bought a 24" iMac which will mostly replace
my wife's Gateway laptop. The Apple store is copying her laptop's data

I installed boot camp and windows xp sp2 and then the drviers provided
by bootcamp but the wifi does not work. Does anyone know if there is a
way to get it to work. I would apprciate this since I am  mostly at
school on a wireless network were there are no close ethernet jacks.  ...

i have shanghai 2.0 for the mac and i originally used it with my iici
and later an 8100, both with no problems. upgrading to a 400dv imac,

Last time I checked, the older G5 Macs had 64 bit CPUs.
All the present Intel Macs seem to have reverted to 32 bit CPUs.

I clicked on Quicktime and it changed into the "broken application" icon,
and it says the application is damaged or incomplete.
The application worked normally, very recently.
Today before I tried Quicktime, I downloaded the latest security

Everytime I try to import a photo from a file on my computer into
iphoto, it crashes.
It works fine when I import from my camera.

Upgrades to OSX .  Gee - the only OS I know of that cost about $1000 for
"upgrades".  Jobs must orgasm all the way to the bank.

I picked up a demo copy of Parallels at Macworld Expo. It installs, but
it won't install XP. Using the Express Install option, it keeps
complaining that there is a corrupt file in the XP installation. Thing
is, each time I try the install, it complains about a different file.

the iSight on my MacBook does not work in iChat or Photo Booth anymore.
The green light goes on, but I get a completely black image in iChat,
and a green one in Photo Booth.  Neither gives me an error message.  In
Skype everything works perfectly.

I am trying to figure out a good way on the mac to create a cross
platform dvd image that I can later burn and use also on linux/windows.
I tried to check out the hdiutil man page, but am not sure if this
will really work for making a dvd dmg that I can mount, fill, and later
