Another Parallels Question16 Jan 2007 23:44 GMT2
When I installed Parallels on my Mac Mini I gave it 8gb of disc. It
eventually began to complain that there wasn't enough free space. No
problem, I thought, the disc is supposed to expand, so I ran the tool
supplied and put the disc space up to 12gb.
Apple Mail re-import16 Jan 2007 23:44 GMT4
I have the following issue.
I previously used MacOS X on a G4 Cube (since 2001, up to 2005). The latest version there was 10.3.9.
Then it broke down and only recently I bought a macmini based on intel.
The earliest MacOS I can install on it is 10.4.1, I currently have 10.4.8.
Maxtor Firewire Drive disappearance16 Jan 2007 23:02 GMT2
I'm on an iMac 2.1ghz G5.  OS X 10.4.8
I've got a Maxtor 250gb firewire/USB drive that has always functioned
flawlessly (using it via FW).  Today it disappeared after a restart to
install a replacement [faulty] RAM module (probably no connection other
AppleTalk Printer Not Showing Up16 Jan 2007 22:51 GMT3
We have an Apple LaserWriter Pro 630 Printer connected to our home
network via an Asanté Friendlynet adapter.  A Cat5 cable attaches this
to a hub, which in turn, is connected to our Airport (Original
[802.11b], Graphite).  This, of course, sets up the printer as an
Airport Computer-to-Computer Networks16 Jan 2007 22:20 GMT1
Where I work, my MacbookPro finds a network listed under
"Computer-to-Computer Networks" called "Free Public WiFi."  I'm told
that this is just a nearby connection that we can use.  My Mac tells me
that I'm connected, but I don't know how to make use of this.  I don't
Can't sync new iPod Nano16 Jan 2007 21:46 GMT2
I have an iPod Shuffle & a new Nano.  I installed and use the Shuffle
with no problems.  Last night, I hooked up the Nano.  My Dell sees the
Nano at first, but then it gives me an error message that the "G:\
drive is not available"... this is the Nano's drive.  Furthermore, the
PowerBook 5200 and archiving e-mail from 199716 Jan 2007 20:53 GMT17
I joined this group as a longtime Mac user. I have lots of e-mail I'd
like to recover from an old PowerBook - no USB, CD burner, only a
floppy drive.
How can I transfer lots of e-mail from that machine onto an iBook G3?
Mac OS X Server filesharing question16 Jan 2007 20:40 GMT6
I'm trying to set up a Mac OSX Server 10.3 for filesharing purposes. It
is a member of our Windows domain. Users log in with their Windows
username. SMB file sharing is on, AFP is off.
This works from both Macs and PCs: smb://server.ip/sharename

It is also in IHT and there are similar articles.

Nondestructive Repartitioning16 Jan 2007 13:48 GMT6
Same old question looking for a new answer.  Has anyone new come up with
decent repartitioning software which doesn't necessarily require a
reinstall of all data?  I tried one a year or so ago, Prosoft's Drive
Genius, and wasn't happy with the results, so I'm looking for a new
cron not behaving as expected16 Jan 2007 12:53 GMT2
I have an entry in /etc/crontab that _starts_ with 0/5

This command is executing precisely on the hour, i.e.,
19:00, 20:00, 21:00, etc.
Harddisk-Airport Extreme-MBP-Airport Express-AirTunes?16 Jan 2007 09:14 GMT1
We have our music collection on an external hard drive. Our dream setup
would be to play it on our stereo while controlling it *wirelessly* from
our MBPs. We already have an AirPort Express (with AirTunes), so there
are no cables from the computer to the stereo, but a physical ...
Creating a Restore Disk Image16 Jan 2007 08:37 GMT456
I have been having some serious problems with my Mac lately which have
indicated a possible malware infection. I recently "rebuilt" my system
(in other words, re-installed the OS and such), then tried to create a
disk image of my entire hard drive so I wouldn't have to download the
Boot camp and parallels16 Jan 2007 06:13 GMT7
I want to install one version of windows on my mac using boot camp. Can
I then use that same installations with parallels, or do I have to
install a separate version to use with parallels?
