I've been trying to figure out the best way to get a hard drive onto my

Apple-f (i assume is the same engine & index as Spotlight) does not
seem to be able to find most files on my computer, unless the file is
new.  That is i can open a folder, see a file called xyz.txt, apple-f,
type xyz & direct it to search in that folder, and it will not see it.  ...

I'm trying to find out if there is a kb shortcut for "Save as Web Page"
in Word 2004 Version 11.2 on OSX 10.4.8.  I've Google, searched
Microsoft Word's Help to no avail.  Anybody know if there is one?  If
not, can I create one?  Is this then called a kb shortcut or a Macro?

Is there a free app that allows one to shrink a DVD?  I want to take the
main movie and shrink it so it fits on a 4.7 gb DVD.  So I'm probably
looking at about 20-40%.

I have an ftp site that can be logged onto from PC's, and uploaded to,
using IE but when I (and other people) try and upload to it from a MAC
they get a error message saying (something like) "the ftp site cannot

iCal started crashing on a friend's PowerBook G4 last week.  So far as I
know, she's running 10.4.9.  She removed the prefs file, but that didn't
help.  I suggested that she try removing the other three ical-related
prefs files.
