I have a Mac Book Pro trying to connect to a WRT54G wirelessly (WEP),
and it is not contacting DHCP from the server which is Win 2003 Server.
If I bootcamp over to Windows, it will get an IP fine.  If I plugin
ethernet, it will get an IP fine.

Hi.  I'm looking for troubleshooting ideas.
I have a machine whose copy of Safari (v. 2.0.4) is failing to load
Java applets.  It displays *all* Java applets simply as a static

On PCs I have separate monitors. I let the PCs run all the time and
turn off the monitor when I'm stepping away from the box. Is there
a way to turn off the iMac monitor without turning off the whole box?

Interested in the pitfalls beginners are liable to encounter.
Specifically, how to begin to determine what my own "requirements" will
be, relative to whatever goals that I might set for myself.

Today I have developed an odd issue with my Apple Menu. Under it, I
have two restart options, two shutdown options and two log out options.
Plus, certain fields in most windows, like the text in a dialog window
will have a thick, black box around it. It also occurs in apps.

Just checked the OpenGL drivers being used to render graphics in an app
of mine and found:

On my Epson 1280, printing from Adobe InDesign CS2, output is always off-center;
looking at the page in portrait position, top and bottom margins are uneven,
