I'm looking at the refurbs on the Apple store.  If I got a 60GB and updated
the iPod software would I be missing any features of the latest 5th gens?
More specifically IIRC I would get gapless playback with an iTunes and iPod
software update, right?

I was poking around in /Library/Preferences and found these files:

hi all how do i make a command line connection to a remote mysql
server?
for local connections i know it is: mysql -u root dbname
how do i connect to a remote server with a password?

i tried this tip http://www.apple.com/pro/tips/burnmulti.html
but it dont work.. when i re-insert the disk to put more work on it it
dont work, can some1 explain how to do it .... im a mac novice!!!

I'm using a 1.25 ghz Mini with 1 gb ram, but soon upgrading to a quicker
machine.  I'm wondering if I'm going to notice much difference if I get
a external firewire enclosure or USB2 enclosure?  And in what areas
would I notice differences?  Also, if you play a DVD movie or burn ...

My aunt has a blueberry iMac with Panther.  She got a 6 Mp camera for
Christmas.  Uploading  21MB to her computer took several hours with the
software that came with  the camera.  She tried it with iPhoto.  It was
equally slow.

So I rent DVD's sometimes and it seems quite frequently (maybe 25% of
the discs) a scratched or otherwise unreadable DVD will freeze DVD
Player and then the whole system locks up.  I can't understand how a DVD
disc can bring the whole operating system to its knees.  Nothing works ...

hello..
i m a new mac user and i m a little upset about some settings that
don't work well...
for example: I use Firefox and whenever I click on a PDF or REALaudio

I haven't had this a year yet and the print on  2 keys is gone.  They
are the T Key and E key.  I  thought about putting a small piece of
tape with the  letter(s) on the keys?   Is that ok?
