| Help! Can't download e-mail (Eudora 6.1.1 and OS 9.1) | 26 Dec 2006 03:43 GMT | 7 |
For three days now, Eudora (v. 6.1.1) has crashed and frozen my Mac (G4, OS 9.1) when it tries to delete old e-mail on the Southwestern Bell server. Eudora gets almost to the end of deleting between 300 and 400 old

| dock annoyance | 26 Dec 2006 03:27 GMT | 2 |
This is simply annoying. When I "right" click on dock icons, I always have to select the function twice. For example, if I want to empty the trash, I "right" click the trash and select "Empty Trash." Nothing happens. I do it a second time, and it empties the trash. If I want to

Regardless of using a Mac or a PC it seems that every modern computer these days is bloated compared to back in the old days (e.g. the 80s/90s) when computers had limited resources (memory, disk space, processor speed) and programmers were forced to make their software

| How do you keep your desktop? -- clutteed? -- pristine? | 24 Dec 2006 18:44 GMT | 16 |
I find it interesting that Macintosh users have a vast difference in how they maintain their desktops, ranging from pristine (me) to cluttered (my significant other). I'm curious as to how the opposite sides of this spectrum defend their choice.

| Parallel problem with playing movie | 24 Dec 2006 16:17 GMT | 3 |
I installed Windows XP SP2 on Parallel (build 1970) of my MacBook. My MacBook has 2GB memory and I assigned 512MB to Windows. It works fine even if USB is only 1.1 instead of 2.0 which I can bear with.

| Clicking hyperlinks in other applications no longer opens Firefox (or any browser) | 24 Dec 2006 06:04 GMT | 8 |
Just a few days after getting a new Intel MacBook, Firefox started crashing on a regular basis. After LOTS of testing and researching, I think I found the problem: Google Toolbar does not play well with FF2. However, in my "testing," I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox
