I recently purchased a new iMac. So far no luck with getting any of my
apps to run on OSX. Do I need to upgrade everything? Or is it just a
matter of downloading a patch for Illustrator, Photoshop, Wacom tablet,
Iomega? Thanks for any info.

One of my housemates has a bondi blue iMac G3 233MHz running OS X (the
version prior to Tiger). He wants to do two things:
1) Gut the casing to house complete innards of a 500MHz iMac G3 750 (not
sure what the 750 means) that he's purchasing;

the information applies to older MacOS version while I'm using 10.4.7

When I click on a mailto: link in Firefox it still opens Safari with
the Gmail "compose mail" page. But I want to write the mail in Firefox!
How can I do that? How can I make Firefox the system standard browser?

I have had the wifi connection on my new imac (dual core 2 version)

contain work files and are seen by everyone in our company. Whenever I
create a folder and files, only I have an access to write and read

Ever since I updated to 10.4.7 (from 10.4.6), my machine is
using much more RAM (according to MenuMeters).  It starts out
higher than it used to by using about 60 or 80 MB more than before.
