Sometimes, I can't turn off iTunes. I try to quit the app, but it keeps restarting itself. This is 6.0.5, on System 10.4.7. Any explanation of why this happens or how to fix it?

I'm trying to get more familiar with *nix. Today I downloaded and installed Cygwin/X on to my WinXP machine at work. I could then ssh into my Fedora Core 5 Linux box and run 'konqueror &' and the Konqueror web browser would be displayed on my WinXP box.

I posted a while back about the login screen resolution being stuck at a lower resolution. Now the issue is getting a littlemore annoying. I was OK with just the login screen acting weird, but now after a login the screen goes black before switching to the correct resolution ...

I just hooked up a mic and noticed the sound level meter in Sound Preferences going up and down with the ambient noise in the room. Does this use any appreciable resources of the system? What if the sound was loud? And would it interfere with sound output in any way?
