I have an Apple G4 Silver tower.
Because it only had a combo drive,
I bought an Sony USB DVD burner.

Okay this is the situation.   I have an older style Jellybean Imac
which I upgraded 512mb.   I know it is not the ideal system for Tiger

i have a number of external drive partitions that I would like to be
"private", that is, excluded from Spotlight indexing. But, for reasons
unbeknownst, frequently one or more of these partitions is removed from
Spotlight's privacy list, and once so removed cannot be placed back ...

i recently converted from windows to a new imac (the newest dual core
2, 17" model) and i used to browse binary newsgroups on windows with
grabit by shemes, but cant find anything like this...
all the software i have found is extremely slow (not multi threaded)

When I set up the printer as LPD/LPR on Mac OS X 10.x, I put in Mario
