Well a few days ago when i started posting inquiring on the mac mini
another person responded saying that I should hold off, a new mac mini

XP/Bootcamp/Time Keeps Changing25 Aug 2006 14:15 GMT3
Very strange.  Every time I boot to XP (using bootcamp) the time is set
at 4 hours ahead of the current time.  It keeps the correct timezone
(eastern US), but it's always exactly 4 hours ahead.  I change it back
every time, but the next time I use XP is back to 4 hours ahead ...
Please Apple:  Mag-Safe Power Tips!25 Aug 2006 11:37 GMT8
I'm trying to drum up support for Apple to do something very very
simple and inexpensive, and very useful to us.
You might have seen are all these combination chargers that will let
you carry around one power brick and use different tips to charge up
Why are zombies born in 1969?25 Aug 2006 10:19 GMT15
Got something to do with The Epoch?
Got this really weird problem that I think I can trace to fast user
switching. Everytime I switch users (which is a lot when you're testing
in a clean environment) I get a zombie python process that I of course

PCAnywhere on a Mac25 Aug 2006 07:15 GMT8
Good Morning,
I am hoping to be able to find some help here.  I have started a new
job in a Mac environment.  I am a MCSE with many years in the Windows
environment and I am feeling a little out of my element.

iMac G5 powers down unexpectedley25 Aug 2006 04:50 GMT4
The subject says it all. If I leave my iMac unattended for somewhere
between 2-3 hours, it will power down or crash. I'm not sure which,
since I'm never there to see it happen. There is nothing in the logs to
indicate the reason for the shutdown or anything suggesting a crash. I
Nothing shows up under Network in the Finder25 Aug 2006 03:46 GMT1
I'm running a Mac G3 dual processor 450 with OS X 10.4.7 on it. When I
open the finder and click on the Network icon, I see nothing. When I
use the Connect to Server option on the Go menu, I can type in an
address such as smb:\\computername and make the connection just fine.
OK, how do you pronounce "XEON"?25 Aug 2006 03:08 GMT9

How to change open with application25 Aug 2006 00:28 GMT6
I did something to semi screw-up my G4 with OSX 10.4.7 and certain files
now open using he wrong application.  For example some open with MP

open with the Apple Console, now open with a 3rd party text editor.  ...
Downloaded mail disappeared after deleting ISP account24 Aug 2006 22:13 GMT11
I changed my ISP and after deleting my account in the mail preference,
all the mail already downloaded from that account and kept in my inbox
(hundreds of them) seems to be lost. They have disappeared and I can't
find a trace of them. I doubt very much that OS X (10.4.7) will ...
