If I buy a copy of Tiger and hack around and get to run on a cheap Dell, is that piracy? I know it's some kind of contractual no-no, and I'd probably go to hell for it, but is it "piracy?"

Is there a way to startup automatically from an external drive, apart from holding down the option key and then selecting the desired drive, OR selecting the external drive as the default? I want something for when I occasionally need to run error correction

A Colleague's AppleWorks (MACOSX 10.4.7, Appleworks 6.2.7) has developed a mysterious and destructibe bug. Files can be opened and read... but any attempt to start typing extra text cases Appleworks to crash immediately.
