Keynote to PowerPoint/PowerPoint to Keynote06 Aug 2006 19:34 GMT2
Although I have no way of testing whether it actually works, it appears
that Apple Keynote presentations can be exported for use in PowerPoint.
Is the opposite possible? Can a PowerPoint user export PowerPoint files
for use in Keynote?
F12 no longer ejects disc tray06 Aug 2006 18:46 GMT4
Up until a few days ago, I could use F12 to eject the disc try. Then
out of the blue, F12  became the "Invoke Dashboard" key. So, I set the
corresponding keyboard shortcut in the Dashboard system preferences to
be '-', which I assumed would make Dashboard ignore the F12 key.

OS X 10.4.7 -> Entourage -> Calendar -> Click on date -> Kerflooey!06 Aug 2006 16:07 GMT1
Assuming  you've understood the particulars and the chain of events,
other than tossing out all related plist files, reinstalling the whole
enchilada, or removing recently installed RAM, what other things might
be implicated?

Probably not the most appropriate group, however many fine minds here.
Subject machine has shut down thrice without warning this morning.
However, after several minutes, perhaps 10-15, the machine will the
start up without incident.  Shut down is precisely like the power has
How to protect ink nozzles from clogging, Epson 4800 ?06 Aug 2006 15:23 GMT2
I plan to go on a long vacation of 2 months, so can't do my regular
routine of exercising the built-in ink nozzles of my Epson 4800.
Anyone know if there are 3rd party "flush kit" ink cartridges, so I can
flush out the tiny jet nozzle holes, before my vacation?

movies06 Aug 2006 15:20 GMT1
Downloaded .avi from my camera to my iMacG5.  Quick Time will play it
fine, & I can email it to friends with PCs, and they can view it with
several different PC applications.  However there is some wastage on
file so I had to use iMovie to edit it. The problem is that apparently
iPod exchange MS/Mac06 Aug 2006 14:26 GMT3
I have a 20Gb  iPod that I keep updated on my PC. I'd prefer to use my
iMac to keep it updated, but I don't want to go through the process of
re-loading all 400-odd CD's into the iMac.
How do I dump the info from the iPod into my iMac. When I tried
Wow! - Intel Mac Mini now sold with Windows installed!06 Aug 2006 12:54 GMT63
Grr, I could have saved $160 if I had waited to buy my Mini Duo.
Window's Home now comes pre-installed, from MacMall at least.
I had to buy Window's Pro for another $160.
Seriously, I am very happy with that little Mac computer.  I bought it

airtunes.  I am not on any wireless network and I was wondering if I
needed to be on a wireless network to go wireless with an airport
3rd party DVD drive in a Powermac G406 Aug 2006 04:15 GMT8
I have one of these and want to install Tiger, but it does not have a
DVD drive. I have a DVD I can use, but since it's not an Apple DVD, I
don't know that the hardware will recognize it and boot from it. Does
anyone know if it will work?
