I am trying to get an old external microphone (which came with a G3 many years ago) working with my Macbook Pro. When I try and plug it into the audio port, it doesn't fit all the way and leaves about 3/4 of a centimeter sticking out.

I'm new to the Mac OS and was trying to find a way to calculate the number of files in a directory. I want a total including all files in any subdirectories. In Windows, the directory properties dialog includes this information by default but in Mac the "Get Info" option

Is there a way with MacOS 10.2's Finder to burn CDs so that they can be viewed on a standalone DVD player? The player, a Yakumo DVD Master XL2, claims to support "JPG CDs". What file system type does the MacOS 10.2 Finder create by default? HFS?

hi all. i have a HP Media center PC that i am trying to use to convert my family movies to DVD. To say the least it is not going well, and i may purchase a MAC if it can do any better. After weeks of trying to get this thing to work i am about ready to throw in the towel.
