My iMac is terminally slow to react. Running OS 10.3.9 with 1 GHz processor and 768 MB RAM. On a DSL connect. Everything is really slow - web connects, applications, etc. Worse that a dial-up. Where should I look for the source of my problem?

Right, i need some help. Whilst i was at work somebody at work thought it would be funny to mess with my mac. What he's doing is sending commands to my mac from his server. He connected to his server using ssh.

I am running OS 9.1 on a PowerPC Macintosh Server G3 with a external firewire Plextor Plexwriter 12/10/32a. Can someone give me advice on a faster firewire/usb burner? I have been very satisfied with what Ihave but just want something faster and just as reliable.Thanks,Bill.

Is the clock under Windows will not keep the correct time. Everything else runs as it should. Anybody else experiencing this?

My Flash application is hanging on trying to launch it -- the Activity Monitor says it is using around 99% of the CPU, and none of the "remedies" I tried have helped. It opens fine in another user's account on the same computer. (10.4.7

Is there a utility for OS X that would allow to identify certain video properties in .avi files? For example, the video resolution, framerate, encoding and audio properties? The finder info does not display any of these. Thanks!

Is there any way in Mac OS X 10.4 to capture the data being sent to a printer - ie. the equivalent of the Windows function "Print to file"? I think I can figure out a way for CUPS drivers, but not for any other type...

I just went to play a MIDI file and discovered that the entire collection are 'broken'. I'm guessing it was in the move from Panther to Tiger. I know the MIDI tracks have played in the past, in fact one of them was converted to an AIFF and found it's way into iTunes.
