I'm getting hammered with spam attempts from neoplus.adsl.tpnet.pl.
I've obviously got:

My old G4 is about to be retired--it can't be booted from its main
internal hard drive (7 years old) and the drive can't be fixed with Disk
Utility or Disk Warrior. I can still see the disk when I boot from a
different hard drive, so...

I am not impressed; except possibly for Dashtools, I don't see much
there that I need or would want.
Of course, Jobs did say that there are other "top secret" features that
weren't demonstrated; I guess that we'll have to wait until January to

I have an old 6500 set up to duel-boot to Linux and Mac OS 8.6. A while
ago I needed to reinstall Linux because I FUBARed the OS due to my
stupidity (I'm still learning Linux). I wasn't sure if the reinstaller
would wipe the HD, so I reformatted one of my Macintosh partitions to

OS 10.4.7 on a G4 500 Sawtooth.
All was well until I upgraded from Panther to Tiger. The Treo can no
longer establish a connectinon when attempting to sync.
Specifially: Treo shows an alert; Mac shows no activity.

I automatically downloaded some episodes of a podcast in iTunes. I made
a playlist and put the episodes in it and when I attach my iPod
everything syncs up nicely.  I also download some tracks from the
podcast's website manually in iPod format and dragged & dropped them

I was wondering if anyone knew how I could route sound from apps other
than iTunes to an AirPort Express on a Mac.
Any help would be appreciated,

Hi. I have a new Mac G5 with a USB printer attached to it. I would like
to print to this printer from other computers also, other Macs and
Windows machines. I have:
1) Enabled Printer Sharing

A friend with a G3 running OS 9.3 needs some (easy to use) free software to
create MP3s from any of the following formats.
Sound Designer II
Interleaved Sound Designer II

I bought a macbook with tiger 10.4.6.
The printers I used to use (on an older mac) a Canon and Hp failed to
perform (usb connection) after successfully installing from the factory
cd on this new mac. Contacted both printer companies and was required

I am taking delivery of my Macbook tomorrow. I have bought the Black
version. I have a few questions:
1. It comes with 512MB of RAM and I intend to upgrade. Is the differential
between 1GB and 2GB worth doing?

I have an old film scanner, with which I have yet to complete scanning
my family negative & slide archive. Unfortunately there are not many
film scanners left available on the market at a reasonable price, so I
don't want to have to get shut of it just yet.
