I have been doing live sound for friends for a few years. While I've
learned a lot I'm interested in using my new mac to do some recording.
What is the bast way to get individual audio tracks into my macbook pro
and into garage band. I have access to a Mackie 1604 mixer as well. I

Before bidding gets crazy on this item, I'd like to get a
sanity check on how high should be considered a reasonable
bid. If I win the auction, the OS will go on my G4/1.5GHz AGP
graphics ("Sawtooth") system. I currently run OS 9.2.2.

My iBook G4 went to sleep automatically then wouldn't turn on.
I held the button for 5..10 seconds, again and again.  Nothing!
Taking the battery out and putting back, it turned on!  It's running ok
now.

Can I pls get suggestions for a Mic.headset for my Mini to use with Skype?

Hi, all, as per my earlier posts.  I guess I'm going to shuck out the $
for Unison.  I'm not sure how well it's working with Aioe.org but
anyway I tried to reply to something a while ago and it failed so this
is sort of a test.  FWIW it does seem to like voiceover and zoom

I have an old Mac LCIII, 68030@25mhz.  I was hoping to use it in the guest
room for email/internet for guests, and I miss old Macs so I'd probably use
it for word processing.  Can it work with a Linksys BEFSR41 router/switch
hooked to a high speed cable modem?

I am a Windows XP user now so am used to the standard Office Suite
from microsoft.  Well I'm now buying my first Mac. I know there is a
office 2004 for the mac and since I have a lot of files for Office I

Earlier today I sent an email and recived the following "bounce" notice. What
I'm hoping is that someone who understands the "gobbledegeek" that I received
can offer a brief explanation. Was the bounce because I was not allowed to
send or the addressee was not allowed to receive? ...

First thing on the screen after login was a complaint of "unable to
connect to device" with a picture of a camera on it.  This sits in front
of any other windows.  It further advises "check the I/F cable ..." and
to turn the device off, then on, then try again.

I rebuilt a hard drive and started with OS 9, then 9.1, 9.2.X, 10.2.X
and now am going to 10.3.9 -- all in 24 hours. Are all of these old
systems being used, or are they just taking up space? If I am running
OS 10.3.9, can I do something about the others?

every once in a while when i am typing like i am now these widgets
appear on my screen
and i have to work with the middle scroll button to make them disappear
i also have more downloaded than my screen can fit

Hi Group, Does anyone know the best player for playing AVI movies on
quicktime? Or freestanding player? I am using OSX
