I have a strange printing problem. Neither printer will print black, colour yes, black no. i have done the usual things. Restarted, switched off, disconnected, new cartridges waved fairy dust at them and nothing will get them going in black. They are Epson: a Stylus 680 and a C62.

I found the Encore/ST G4 1.0GHz CPU upgrade for $199 at their site. I am curious how these things work. I am using the latest version of Mac OS X Tiger, will it work with this? Is there any other brands to consider? Would need to keep the $200 or less price range.
