I am having trouble with file permissions on my network. For example: A
G5 - UserA - places a folder or a file on our xServe. G5 - UserB - Has
read only.
Is there some way of making the default permissions for anything

Using email app bundled with iMAC G5 OS 10.4.6 (Mail version 2.0.7)
Font size fine for all incoming and outgoing email except for one
frequent user (incoming).  For that user all header sizes fine but body

I had to upgrade the Matlab to version 7.2 which required

Hi all, the hard disks we buy off the shelf usually have FAT32 default
format. In what cases (if any) is it advisable to format them to
extended (journaled format)? How does one actually format a disk under
OS X 10.4.7?

hard-disk last week, so I went through the stages of rescuing the data
