Cron scripts under 10.423 Jun 2006 01:48 GMT3
I remember reading somewhere that the regular maintenance scripts will
be run under Tiger even if the Mac is turned off for the night, thereby
eliminating the need for utilities such as Macaroni.
Or am I just imagining that?

I have my first Mac and am trying to figure out how to turn off the
sound effect that accompanies the booting of the computer.  I want to
keep the other sounds, but that one is a problem when I'm booting in a
quiet public place.  The Mac is a MacBook.  Thanks for any info offered ...

Apple Mail (2.0.7), preinstalled on my iMac (OS 10.4.6), goes along
dutifully downloading my mail, except for periods of time that it
insists on my entering the password.  I do so, checking the box,
"Remember the password" and it will give me my mail, then ask for it

Itunes and MP3Pro does not fully work22 Jun 2006 16:38 GMT2

Thanks in advance for your help.
