Another mighty mouse bites the dust25 Jun 2006 15:39 GMT14
I bought a IMAC g5 in January which came with a mighty mouse. Soon
after I set it up the expose function went out of control...almost any

set off expose( I had to nudge the mouse very gently with my index
Automatically detecting the ISP you are using.25 Jun 2006 12:11 GMT1
I use Entourage and was wondering if there was a way to automatically
detect the name of the ISP being used.  I travel a lot and have to
change my out going server settings (which is also a pian in the butt),
and was wondering if there was an easy way to do this.
Address Book, iCal and phones25 Jun 2006 10:38 GMT3
Two related questions:
-- Address Book and iCal are glopped up with bad data from past

Silly Question25 Jun 2006 10:38 GMT8
I'm in the process of moving from a G4 system running OS 10.2.8 to a Mac
Mini running 10.4.6. I need to do some research on the changes in the
OS. But I'd like a quick answer to this one:
Can anyone tell me why the "Show AM/PM" button on the clock preferences
Widget on desktop25 Jun 2006 10:30 GMT5
All of a sudden today, on boot up, there is one of my dashboard widgets
on the desktop. I have no idea how that happened or how to get it off.
It covers over any other window of the finder or any application I go
to. Very annoying.  I've moved it out of the way, but I sure would ...
Finder sidebar - that seems odd25 Jun 2006 09:58 GMT10
I find that dragging items (directories on servers, for example) to the
finder sidebar makes them nice and easy to access.  However deleting (or
dragging them to the trash) doesn't delete the icon on the sidebar, but
deletes the original directory on the server - eeeek!
n00b finder problems with mac os 8 & 725 Jun 2006 07:01 GMT9
these might be very stupid questions, but i don't have a lot of
experiance with macs so please don't flame me for it:

Anyone running Windows on new Mac yet?25 Jun 2006 04:34 GMT2
I'm considering getting a MacBook, and whether to include Windows on it. I
know you have to reboot to access Windows, but what about file access? Is
Windows in its own partition on the HD, and can the Mac OS access files from
the Windows OS, and vice-versa?
Help!  Long, sad tale of a hosed Titanium system24 Jun 2006 23:58 GMT7
I have a friend on my side of our small island who contacted me recently
about a problem with her Mac.  Namely her AppleWorks started crashing
frequently. Her mail.app, iPhoto, and iTunes were working normally.
Apparently every few minutes her AW would crash.  She has a PowerBook G4
Really Need Network Help!24 Jun 2006 16:42 GMT11
People actually pay me money to set up and fix networks, but I can't
fix my own...

at the moment) also can't connect to the Internet via an Ethernet cable

I have a small hard drive but am thinking of upgrading to 10.3.9. How

Thanks.
bluetooth cell phone for internet access...24 Jun 2006 16:27 GMT11
I've heard people claim that you can use a cell phone with
bluetooth and a computer with same to get internet access
(probably slow, probably expensive) on the computer through that
connection.  Is that true?  If so, what do you have to do for it
