My wireless setup (router) is downstairs in our house. Everything has
been working fine for several months (laptop downstairs; wife's e-Mac
upstairs). Suddenly, her connection has stopped (no bars) or become
very weak (1 or 2 bars). My laptop works flawlessly in either location.

Has anyone tried to install Windows 2000 within Parallels or Bootcamp ?
I am aware it is not supposed to work, but I feel WinXP does not bring
much to the play and is much slower and RAM-hungry than Win2k.
Also, how could I import my virtual drives C: and D: from VirtualPC

I noticed there is a log for practically everything that is done in
OSX, no matter how long ago those things were done.
When I opened all the logs in console, and tried to clear the old log
entries by using the "clear" icon, I noticed that the clear operation

A few months ago, I unwittingly installed norton anti virus on my imac
without really needing to.
Now that it's on there, i can't uninstall the damn thing with the
installer/uninstaller. i just doesn't seem to want to go.

I sometimes switch back to OS 9 to use old applications. I'd like to use
a script to switch startup disks and reboot. I've never had luck with
Applescript's syntax for that. Does anyone know how to do that in
applescript or preferably as a shell command?

Is it posssible to upgrade the video card on an Imac G3 Indigo???If so
how hard would it be??

I just pick up a used Power Mac at a computer fair that I'm hopping to
up-grade.
It has a G4  tower case, but the system profile reads:

Unfortunately, the application on the main page is somehow incompatible

According to my OSX software agreement, "You may make one copy of the
Apple Software (excluding the Boot ROM code) in machine-readable form
for backup purposes only." I'd like to do this, and use the copy for
running Disk Utility and future reinstalls, keeping the original disk

   Probably hiding in plain sight, but... can't find my scanner and a
program to use it in. Is there such a thing in the programs that come
with it (or office for Mac) and if not, suggestions??
