Hi, I just bought a used 17 inch powerbook that is about a year and a half old. It has osx 10.4.6 and ILife 06 on it. My problem is that whever is have to restart the computer after downloading something, the settings I had on before are reset to my default. Case in point :

Is there a way to manually assign priorities to processes? (E.g. I'd like to have a rendering program running in the background and do its work whenever there is free processor capacity, but I don't want it to slow down the computer when I work on something in the foreground.)

I've had a G4 Mini with Tiger for a month. Today I had my first crash. For a few minutes I noticed delays in responses to mouse clicks. Then I got a blue screen. After a couple of minutes, I held down the button on the back of the box.

I have succeeded ??? in getting several invisible files (eg ".InformINIT 8.1" and "" - great filename!!) in the trash and I can't delete them, or access them to make them visible. How do I go about it please?

This I bought an APC usb 2.0 hub, plugged it in in the mini usb port and inserted 2 usb printers, 1 external hd and a wireless keyboard and mouse in the hub. Everything worked fine and instead of shutting down the Mac mini I used the sleep mode.

The one I got is an Indigo iMac DV It has a 500MHz Power PC 750 chip and 192MB of RAM, a 20GB Hard Drive (19.1 actual) a slot loading CD-ROM. I just want to know how hard would it be to get a bigger HDD and a DVD
