My old PC no longer boots properly. I've moved over to a Mac G4 tower.
Any suggestions on how to use the old PC hard drive (with 30-40 gigs of
music and video) with the G4?

I have been successfully able to acomplish everything I do with OSX and
have thus far found no need to use Windows on the new mac. However, I
used Agent newsreader on WIndows, and it worked brilliant for

I have external USB 2.0 and external Firewire.  I can boot the firewire
drive.  The documentation that I've found doesn't specify that firewire
boots but usb doesn't but I don't seem to be able to boot from USB.  Has
anyone been able to do so?  It may be a problem with my backup ...

Is there a way to jump to a specific time index with Apple's DVD
player? Or use different fast forward and rewind speeds? If not, is
there a third party DVD player with these features?

Why can't an OS be burned into ROM or hammered into the motherboard so

I've got a problem.
I used ³Repair Disk from Disk Utilities and got the following :
