I have Tiger.  Yesterday on Activity I noticed a user process called
TruBlueEnvironme. Today my computer sat with the CPU 100% in use.  It
was almost all TruBlueEnvironme.  The computer wouldn't restart.  I shut
down and restarted.  Now TruBlueEnvironme isn't running.

upgrade from 10.4.2 to 10.4.6 so that I can then download and apply any
forthcoming security patches. Unfortunately, at my age (82+), I ...

Catch 22 with FileVault and SSH public key authentication08 May 2006 14:11 GMT7
No problem; just noting a peculiarity.
I recently enabled FileVault to test a few things and discovered that if
SSH public key authentication is required an SSH connection cannot be
established unless the remote Mac has a logged in user.
[9.x] What causes gray screen on startup?08 May 2006 13:45 GMT3
From time to time, when I restart (or start up from shutdown state)
my G4/450, my monitor makes its starting up sound, then I see a
