iMac with OSX10.4 shows everything negative colors28 Apr 2006 10:05 GMT7
My son (14 months) worked the keyboard of my iMac G5 with OSX10.4 that
hard that all colors are shown as negative (the same as if you were
looking on a photo negative). Unfortunately he can't talk yet so he
won't tell me how to change it back.

We have a 9-Mac network, LinkSys router, and DSL for internet.  Can
10.4 send faxes via the DSL connection?  Or must  the modem be
separately connected to the phone system.  Thanks!

I change safari's home page a few times now, but it always show the old

I want to use a cronjob to send an alert to the user at a specified
time.  The way I am doing this is to compile a small Applescript
application that displays the alert, and then invoke the "open" command
line utility from my crontab to launch the Applescript.  Is there any

Technical network question27 Apr 2006 23:20 GMT2
In my ongoing ISP problems, which I posted about here before, they can't or
don't want to fix the problem at the ISP end.  I have been running
unmonitored since they discovered their monitoring device is what causes all
my weird network problems.  Today they called me up and wanted ...

Apple USB modem causes iMac core duo kernel panic.
This is a problem that I called Apple tech support about shortly after I
bought my iMac 20" core duo.  This is the second Apple USB modem that I
have bought and both of them cause the same problems.  The Apple USB
Growl w/Camino and Gmail Notifier27 Apr 2006 19:45 GMT1
I'm trying to setup Growl such that I can click on the message boxes
that pop-up from my Gmail notifier and have them open in Camino. Right
now Firefox opens automatically. It's a great browser, but I'm liking
Camino at the moment.

DNS question27 Apr 2006 15:12 GMT9
Is there a way to "short-circuit" certain website calls to specific
domains? For example, I would greatly like to just have any request to
load anything from, oh say, http://adopt.specificclick.net/... or maybe
even http://ad.doubleclick.net/... to just give me a blank box. I think
