I am thinking about getting a new Intel iMac and wonder if I could still
run this older G4 (OSX 10.4 with Classic) on the router?   The real
question is can I mount the old G4 from the iMac and run a Classic

seeing smb shares from MacOSX29 Apr 2006 00:20 GMT2
I can access SMB-signed shares on a Windows 2003 Server with the

intel / indesign  docs have very slow print times29 Apr 2006 00:08 GMT3
The files I make with InDesign have very slow print times when they
have a 40 meg graphic image placed on them (1 hour +) to print.
I am running a new Itel Imac / OS 0.4.6 0 InDesignCS2. The print driver
is current and supposedly compatable with the Intel machine.
How do I connect speakers to dual-core Intel iMac?28 Apr 2006 23:24 GMT20
My employer took away my iMac-G4 and replaced it with a dual-core Intel
iMac.  But they didn't purchase new speakers to go with the old computer,
because our IT people told purchasing that the JBL Creature II speakers
I had would work the new Intel iMac.

Hi!  Is there a key that you can hold down in OS X to temporarily
disable autoplay when you insert a CD?  Like SHIFT does in Windows.
Thanks in advance!

This I bought an APC usb 2.0 hub, plugged it in in the mini usb port and

the hub.  Everything worked fine and instead of shutting down the Mac mini I
used the sleep mode.

USB or Firewire?28 Apr 2006 17:18 GMT3
I'm using an 800mhz iMac with a combidrive. I'd like to upgrade to an
external DVD R/RW drive. Would I get any other advantage (besides write
speed) using firewire instead of the cheaper USB?
EMAC forums?28 Apr 2006 16:36 GMT1
Is anyone aware of any "EMAC only" (or EMAC centric) forums on the web?
The learning curve (transition from MS) seems steep, although my age (58)
might have something to do with that.!!! LOL

the OS 9 TCP/IP Control Panel did?
If it does, I can't find it.
