i've heard a rumor that os x (10.5) will include a database file system
comparable to what microsoft is trying to do with WinFS (which is based
on sql server).
has anyone heard anything about what type of database code it will run

I have a Griffin iMic connected to my USB bus. Attached to the iMic is a
VXI headset which I use for voice input. Very necessary as I have
chronic arthritis in my hands.

I am running OS 9.1 on Machintosh Server G3 PowerPC w/a 20gb hd. I
recently bought a Kensington 4 outlet powered 2.0.  1.1 backward
compatable.When I got it home in verrry fine print it said minimum os
10.1. Will this damage my system or any of my peripherals?Thanks, Bill

Hi, I'm running 10.4.5 on an iMac halfdome. Three users are installed on the
system; my wife and son have no trouble logging on, but when I do, the login
is painfully slow--it takes nearly half an hour for my desktop to come up!
This problem started after I installed iLife '06, and ...

I have an older emac and have lost the original discs. Where can I get or
order discs for my eMac? I have copied discs but the build # is wrong!! When
I load the discs my display is about 50% of the screen. It seems I need the
originals with the right build #.. Is there a way around ...

For years, my favorite News reader has been MT-NewsWatcher.  It runs
under the new Intel iMac but tends to crash when downloading binary
files.
Anybody else run into this problem?

Are there any drivers to use intel cs430 web cam with tiger on powerbook g4?

When I do work from the bash shell(OS X 10.4.5), I often find files in
directories that are ._something where there is a file called something.
What is going on here?  Anybody have a clue?  Naturally they are hidden and
never show up in finder windows.

Anyone heard if Boot Camp will be ported to PowerPC macs like a G5?

I lost my HD, so to get my songs back I got my songs back from my ipod
by going
File Add Folder To Library and pointing it to
<ipod drive>\iPod_Control\Music

We have the retail version of OS 10.3. It was previously installed on a
G4 APG 450. No problems.
