what a chuckle, do you know how difficult it is to search for 'book'
topic on macbook?
Well I'm a first time owner of a Mac product, macbook intel, Ipods are
computers, and slightly above average computer user in general.  I'm

I've been setting up a new Quad core G5 and ran into some trouble.
Currently, I can see the two ethernet ports with ifconfig, but they are
not showing up in the System Preferences -> Network -> Network Status.
I tried booting into safe mode, but still all I see is the AirPort.

I have bought an old Powerbook 520c with Powerpoint 2.01. There are
some presentations to open on other computers. The presentations made
with Powerpoint 2.01 cannot been opened with Office2004, Office XP
(Windows), Neooffice, StarOffice, Lotus Smartsuite, Keynote.

I'm a complete newbie to OSX (Tiger).  I'm a little confused on the
behaviour of the Cmd-Tab key combination.  Cmd-Tab will display
applications minimized to the Dock, but selecting such an application
does not restore it (nothing seems to happen at all.)

I recently purchased an iMac with a 2.0GHz Dual Intel processor. I have
noticed that web pages are loading slowly and the progress bar moves
sporadically. Some pages, like ebay.com, take so long , >10 seconds,
that they time out. I first noticed it with Safari and then downloaded

I just made a switch from PC to MAC. And slowly getting used to it. For
my work I need to get JPEG or BMP images to edit so that I can later
use them for preparing documents. As long as I had PC I used to do it
in "Paint" ( I am not doing some real graphics work) and save as JPEG
