My Desktop no longer appears as a viewable folder within my home folder in the Finder. (It shows up when I click the Desktop icon on the left-hand of the Finder window without problem). This makes it awkward accessing files on the Desktop from applications

When I bring up the Desktop/Screen Saver preference and select Screen Saver, sometimes there's an option to "Choose Folder," and other times that option is not present. It seems to be random. Is that a feature?

| AppleWorks 6 problem | 19 Apr 2006 17:21 GMT | 1 |
Weird, you are working on a document and scroll back up the page to view earlier work, but when you scroll back down everything out of sight below the edge of the window has disappeared. It is actually there, as Preview shows it after a print request, but it

| Shared Printer Printing | 19 Apr 2006 16:45 GMT | 2 |
This is an extremely annoying bug! Whenever anyone in my house (iMac G5, PowerBook G4, iBook G3, and iBook G4 [minus the iMac because that's where the printer's hooked up]) tries to print to my a shared printer in say, Microsoft Word, they can't just press "Print" in the dialog.

| Windows on Intel Mac question/annoyance (PrintScreen) | 19 Apr 2006 14:49 GMT | 6 |
I installed Windows on my iMac last week, via BootCamp. There were no problems at all, aside from the tedium. But yesterday, I ran into a problem that googling hasn't helped me with: Windows keyboards have a PrintScreen button that invokes a screen/window capture utility.

Since I've moved all of my programs to OS X.4 and I don't think I even booted to OS9 since I've had my Powerbook for over a year. My question is this; Can I safely throw OS 9 into the trash. Or, is there another way of doing so? Is there any consequences in throwing OS

| Terminal Help: Stuck Again | 19 Apr 2006 00:53 GMT | 11 |
This has happened before, but this time I thought I'd ask for help... My normal prompt in Terminal is my user name folowed by a dollar sign. (My IP address is in there somewhere also). Every once in a while, and I've just done it now, I apparently type the wrong thing and the prompt

Greetings, all. Long time no see. I have an iMac G5 c. Dec. 2004. A few minutes ago, I inserted a DVD, but it seems not to have mounted in the drive. The disk is just barely too far inside the machine to reach. It's not visible from the outside

I have a G4 running System 9.1. I need to install OSX on my computer (or better yet on a totally separate drive) and keep 9.1 to run my old applications. Or to use "Classic" mode within OSX.
