I was investigating installing MacPhoneHome for my iBook. It's a utility
that claims to be able to find the "exact location" of the computer and
sends it covertly to a designated email address every time the computer
is connected to the Internet.  But when I attempted to download ...

I have a tcp/ip network at home with a wired router serving my dhcp, an
airport express extending that to wireless, and another switch to
provide more connectivity in the living room. I previously had my
laserwriter connected to my windows pc because it has a parallel port.

I know that a 2-gig G5 20" iMac specs at 130 watts.
Can anyone tell me how much power a 17" dual-core Intel iMac draws?

My wife bought a G3 ibook in 2002 and it did her well, I even ran over
it on my bike on accident and it kept plugging away.  The logic board
did go bad on it and was replaced under warranty but now it has a new
problem.  The iBook won't turn on but strangely when you open it up,

I made the switch to mac just a few weeks ago. Everything seems to work
like it should on my iMac and my MBP.

without disabling the firewall on those two machines, in spite of what
appears to the eye to be identical firewall settings on all four

Can anyone let me know a place to get 7.2.1?  It's not at .mac anymore.

I have a 2001 867MHZ Quicksilver powermac g4 that originally came with a
Pioneer DVR-103 superdrive.  The drive went bad and I replaced it in
2004 with a DVR-106 drive from QWC and last week it stopped working so,
I've replaced it with a Pioneer DVR-111D BK DL drive from QWC.  ...

I'm not a Mac guy but my daughter's iBook HD went out, so I installed
another.  However when I try to install the OS from the install CD's it
say's that it can't install on the HD and has a big red exclamation
icon on it.  I used the drive utility to create one big partition and

I finally upgraded to Tiger over the weekend.  Now, every time I
login, I get a new top-level (aka "My Computer") folder opened.  It
will be opened in a different location, different size each time.  If
I don't close each one when it's opened, it will re-open on the next

Why can't I see how many files/sub-folders is contained within the
folder I do a "get info" on? Is this a hidden feature of MacOS or is it
simply missing?
