| Imac Duo Intel-speakers and trackball | 24 Mar 2006 17:15 GMT | 1 |
I have a new iMac duo Intel and it's a great computer. I've only got two problems--maybe someone has a suggestion. I used a Kensington Trackball with my previous iMac G4 and it worked great, using MouseWorks. Unfortunately, the Kensington software does not work on a

| March madness | 24 Mar 2006 15:12 GMT | 5 |
I'm not sure of your interest in March madness (college basketball playoffs) but here are some observations. I signed up with iTunes (Apple) to receive video computer file summaries (8-10 minutes in length) of all the games. So far, I've

I admit it. I am a Mac ignoramous. But I am tinkering with an old Powerbook 3400C that I was given. It runs OS 9.1. I was impressed when by simply plugging the Ethernet cable into the plug, I was instantly able to connect to the Internet.

| very bad airport and bluetooth reception in Intel Mini | 24 Mar 2006 13:56 GMT | 2 |
There's not much discussion of this topic in this group. Look at the links below and see what a rubbish time many people are having with wireless on their new Minis and iMacs. Question is: are we just imaging it or is anybody here experiencing similar poor performance?

EVen if it doesn't work (due to incompatibility or lack of drivers or other) should a PCMCIA card that fits into a PC PCMCIA slot also fit into a Mac PCMCIA slot? Just out of curiosity I've tried a few of my PC cards but they seem to

| Wow. Look at the ThinkPad battery life vs. Macbook Pro | 24 Mar 2006 04:25 GMT | 6 |
What the devil is wrong with the Macbook Pro? The Thinkpad is showing double the battery life with equivalent performance, plus the reviewers make a note of how cool it runs....not a hallmark of the MBP. What's up with this?

| Tiger no longer "sees" OS 9 Desktop Folder on another volume/partition | 24 Mar 2006 03:39 GMT | 1 |
Ever since I installed OS X, I'd been able to open items from my OS 9.2 partition simply by having the Finder go through the Desktop Folder on that volume. Recently, however, this stopped working. Since I'd had some other troubles with the OS 9 volume and figured that it most likely ...
