We are developing a driver on Mac OS 10.4 which is a 64-bit OS. Now, PowerPC G4 is a 32-bit machine and G5 a 64-bit machine. Tiger can be installed on both. Tiger claims native support for both 32-bit and 64-bit applications.

I'm trying to help someone with a Mac G4 running OS9. His system froze and after rebooting, it displays a folder icon, which alternates between a face and a question-mark. Any ideas?

My wife's iBook has suddenly stopped being able to see our AirPort base station (older, "UFO"-style). My Compaq laptop running Linux (Fedora Core 4) can use the wireless network with no problem. I've tried reseating the AirPort card, but that doesn't help.

I've acquired a Mac G4 Quicksilver Dual 800Mhz that came with no operating system. It has 384megs of RAM at this time and a single 80mb hard drive. Currently the keyboard is a PC PS2 unit connected to the Mac with a USB-PS2 adapter. Using a USB mouse.
