Have heard mixed reviews on this drive, as a
photographer I like the idea of being able directly
label Cd's and DVD's.
So are there any direct opinions here of why you do or don't like the

I recently saw a post, I think in this group, about apps
that remove all the various translations on one's hard
drive, so as to recover a big chunk of disk space. Now
I can't find the post, and I haven't had much success

Of some strange reason, recently all my text files won't open
into TextEdit anymore, but instead they automatically launch

A colleague of mine is interested in scheduling largish printjobs to run
after hours, from OS 10.4.5, to an HP Color LaserJet. A bit of exploring
PrintCenter options amd CUPS options, searching on VersionTracker, and
googling on "printjob scheduling" hasn't turned up any likely

I'm in 10.4.5.  Going in, I had the impression that I could get to a Unix
command line and use the commands from there.  I'm getting frustrated.  From
Terminal, I have been able to issue a single command only.  How do I get a
whole session with a command line?

Hi, i am new to this group and mac world and i am planning to use some
space of my pc's hdd as an addition of ibook's 80gb space so;
is there any way to format my PC's SATA hdd (or a specific partition of
it) as hfs+ from my ibook 1.42ghz via network?

I've got a company-issue Powerbook G4 and Nextel i860 cellphone.
The two appear to be _completely_ incompatible. I can probably
justify changing cellphone provider to Cingular, and wonder if
better Mac OS X compatibility might be had.

    Can anyone tell me what files in Safari and Mail to back up so
that when I reinstall Safari and Mail I don't have to go through the
hassle of reconfiguring all of my preferences, and so that I can save
all of my mail messages, bookmarks, etc.?
