Shortcuts to a System Preference?10 Mar 2006 17:34 GMT17
In setting up and learning OS X I need to get into System Preferences >
Network and others frequently.  Is there a shorter way of doing this
rather than going through the System Preferences?  Once in there you
have to use the mouse - the tab or arrow keys don't even work.  ...

Does any know of a service/tool/software that I can use to do online
meetings with Mac OS.  I need something where I can chat, talk, show
other people my applications, desktop, etc. where we get together in a
meeting even though we're all in different locations.

Booting my Firewire backup disk on another machine10 Mar 2006 05:49 GMT10
Recently, I noticed a claim made on Macintouch with regard to booting
from Firewire disks: supposedly, prior to the Intel Mac series, a
bootable clone of one OSX install can be booted on any other Mac that
supports Firewire booting.  That is to say, an install of Mac OS X is

Using a Powerbook in Europe.09 Mar 2006 23:17 GMT9
My husband was the happy recipient of a 12" Powerbook G-4, when our
daughter upgraded to a larger screen, newer Powerbook.  We are going to
France in May and he is  wondering what he needs in the way of equipment
to be able to use his new favorite while there.  I found statements ...
Citizen Cope, Agustana, Pernice Brothers, The Magic Numbers09 Mar 2006 21:40 GMT3
These 4 bands are who I've come across recently and really enjoy.  I've
learned about a ton of new bands lately.  I attribute that mostly to my
new (might I mention free) iPod.  Since I've got my iPod, I keep
discovering new bands before anyone has evver heard of them.  Sure

Just the briefest twitch of the mouse to a hot corner brings these
things up. I have my mouse set for "very fast", and it happens all the
time. Annoying.
Is there something I can change to require a one or two second residence
