Anyone know when Mac with Intel chips inside will be hitting the shops? And how soon the G4 and G5 will be dumped? And does this mean MS apps will be able to be ported on to Macs? Louis

| Disable eject icon? | 13 Mar 2006 00:14 GMT | 9 |
We have a 1TB XRAID system connected via Fibre Channel on our 10.4.5 G5. Apparently OS X considers any disc device connected by anything other than IDE or SCSI as "removable". I do not believe that our 90 pound beastie bolted to the video rack behind a locked door is "removable".

I have a G4 20" iMac 1.25 GHz running 10.4.5, and I use MenuMeters to keep an eye on my processor usage. Sometimes it is at 100% when I'm browsing certain webpages (for example http://members.aol.com/bowermanb/101.html), and when I open Activity Monitor it shows that Safari is the ...

| Amazing Genius Bar Excuses | 12 Mar 2006 05:45 GMT | 12 |
I returned my laptop for a logic board replacement under AppleCare. While standing at the Genius Bar I overheard the conversation nearby, where the Genius was gently scolding a middle-aged Mom and her teen daughter. Apparently their iPod wouldn't hold a charge. The Genius was

| Since my MacBook is still back-ordered | 12 Mar 2006 04:18 GMT | 1 |
I have been following the 32 bit/64 bit debate with some interest. Should I put off my final renunciation of the Dark Side until the Forces of the Light release their 64 bit version or can I still go ahead, safe in the knowledge that I won't have a rather new
