In Classic I used Installer Observer.  That way I could completely
get rid of applications I didn't want.  If I had trouble with an
application, Installer Observer would have a record of what
extensions and preferences were involved.

My daughter in law wants to set up her own website, can anyone point me

I have discovered a 16Mb invisible file named ".journal" (without italics)
which was created on 16 July 2005 and last modified in the same date. Can

I replace my old hard disk with new one and then
-I boot from CD software install
-I create partition

I can currently connect to my office via VPN but have no access to any
files. I use the latest version of MAC OS. When I connect via VPN on in
widows xp I have full access to all the files I need. Dose anyone know
how to access the files at my office over VPN?

What are the implications in OS X if the name of the boot volume
(internal drive in this case) is changed?
Curious if it can cause problems if changed accidentally (happened on
