One used to be able to undelete files with Norton Utilities. I dont have the latest Norton anymore, since its reputation declined. But isnt there software that manages the disk directory so that you can remark previously deleted files bring them back into the disk

Putting the widget in /Library/Widgets doesn't do it. I replaced the Google widget with the new one and Widget Manager does not show an apple beside it. It must get that information from somewhere. Normally I wouldn't be fiddling with this except I don't want two Google
